Chocolate and avocado cookies

Untitled design (91)What’s better than a decadent home made chocolate cookie?

A HEALTHY decadent chocolate cookie!

Did you know that avocado has mild enough flavours that it can be used as substitute in many recipes?

The creamy consistency results in incredibly moist baked goodies… turning many items on the naughty list into much healthier treats!

Makes 10 cookies

Ingredients:

100 g. (3/4 cup) avocado flesh (very ripe, but not brown)
½ cup (120mL) natvia
1 egg
½ cup dark cocoa powder
50 g. dark chocolate chunks
½ tsp. baking soda

Method:

1: Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
2: Mix together in a bowl the avocado (mashed well) and Natvia until smooth, then add in the egg and combine.
3: Add cocoa powder and baking soda, and combine well.
4: Stir in dark chocolate chunks.
5: Spread out onto a tray lined with baking paper, ensuring your spread the mixture with the back of the spoon until they are the desired size (they won’t spread as much during baking as regular cookies)
6: Bake for 8-10 mins, cool completely, and enjoy!
